| Yeah, it's me again. I suppose I'm slightly overdue for this. Here's the latest:
I'm engaged to the love of my life. She is a light that illuminates me when she's around. She's my better half. She carries me when the load is too heavy. She puts the smile on my face when nothing else can. She will be my wife. Haha. Love is a funny thing. It can totally change your plans, and yet, you're ok with it. I'm so glad that God has given her to me or rather I to her (whichever way you choose to see it). WE'RE GETTING MARRIED JULY 24TH. If you think you're someone that would get invited to the wedding, then save the date.
I have a house. Yeah, I bought a house in Kentwood. Saying it was a fixer-upper isn't saying enough about the poor condition it was in when I bought it. It needed a new kitchen (complete), lots of work in the bathroom, new floors in the bedroom, new closits, a new furnace, work on the water heater, electrical work, straitening out the foundation and a ton of other misc repairs (not to mention paint on every square inch). It was a learning experience for me. I got the house insainly cheap and did most of the work myself and fixed it up for under $5000. I love it. I'm so glad to be out of my parent's house. I always said that I would never rent because it's just throwing your money away. Stop by sometime.
I'm in my senior semester of college. 18 credits. I don't like it...but that's life. I'm ready to be done.
Well, let's make something of our life and get off our butts. Until next time.....

| Well, I guess I gave in. Yup, a year and a half later...I got an email from Xanga saying they missed me...well, I guess that's all it takes.
So is there anyone out there? No? Well, I guess I decided it doesn't really even matter. I don't know if I'll start this back up again or not but I've found that life is more liberating when you have a place to write about it.
So even if there is not one person that will read this....well....I guess I really don 't care, I'm not doing it for the ratings anymore.
So here's a quick update from the past year.
Backpacked through Europe last summer
Traveled southern California
Got into investing and started my retirement fund ($1700 and counting baby!)
Broke my collar bone on a dirtbike
Worked/am working at my dad's shop
Graduated from GRCC and transfered to davenport
Fell in love with the most radiant girl, her name is Caitlin (8 months officially now).
Today I have a little over a year left in my education. Working and moving up in my dad's business. playing music/forming a band with Kevin and Nate I'm planning some type of summer trip (Maybe Las Vegas) spending as much time with Caitlin and looking into buying a duplex in the grand rapids area.
So there...there it is.

| Ok everyone: I'm just going to go ahead and make this official and say it. I am (for the most part) done with Xanga. I would like to write a tribute to something that once meant so much. I feel it's better to chop off a head rather than slowly let something bleed to death. So I'll just pull out the blade and do it now. I guess I'm no better than every one else that has abandoned Xanga. If you're wondering, no, I have not left this for Satin'sspace. Xanga has been extremely helpful through my highschool years with keeping up on my friend's lives and sharing stories of my own. But so few friends keep their Xanga updated now. Nazidrummer-the name came from Ryan W, an awesome friend of mine, who named it (not knowing it would stick) in a moment of spontaneity and wit. He named it as a joke against Kevin F. whom we referred to as "The band Nazi" because of his strict discipline while we were in Lavonne VonSchron. I've been updating this site (until recently) for almost 3 years, it has my history. I always thought it would be cool to have 100 subscribers, but only made it to 87. This is not a guarantee that this will be the last post I'll ever write. But I know there are some readers of this site that have never even commented, who still check this site all the time for something new. I want to officially say good bye and thank you for showing an interest in my life. I may still use this name to comment on the remainder of you who are still doing this, Xanga is way cooler than any other blog-type site, stick with it if it's working for you. All good things must come to an end. See you around. | | |
| Yo, I still exist within the Xanga realm. This is an ANNOUNCEMENT or rather an Invite cow boys and girls, my parents are doing yet another hog roast and square dance this friday (29th) dinner starts at 6:30 and the dance starts at 8:00. We hire an actual square dance caller who will take you through all the steps so you don't even need to know how to dance. It's late notice, but you should make it happen. I'll be there, and that's reason enough. I haven't been able to post from my computer so that's why you're not seeing anything from me. | | |
| I've Just received some of the most shocking and depressing news and I thought it worthy of an xanga post because everyone should be aware of this. One of my personal heros has died today doing what he loves most, interacting with deadly animals. Steve Irwin, AKA The Crocodile Hunter is pronounced dead today on sept 4th. He was killed by a sting ray in the great barrier reef. This is hard news for me because that man was so fricken awesome, but he lived a good life and I'm sure he had that famous grin on his face until his heart stopped. I think it would be appropriate for each one of you to do something in commemoration of such an awesome man. Say a prayer for his wife and family. Use the word that he so eloquently coined "Croyky". I'm wearing my Crocodile hunter shirt as I type this with a picture of him bravely wrestling a croc. I'm sorry to have to bare this news. Try to enjoy your day anyway, just don't let him be forgotten. If you want to read the article, here it is, there's a lot of great things said about him, but there can never be enough.
